History

1975

While working as a sanitarian at a local orchard, Kim Geetings (age 21) purchases Benzie Pumping Service from Bob Rayle, which includes a 1968 pump truck and a small client base. Kim continues to work elsewhere while running Benzie Pumping Service part-time.

1982

Seven years later, Benzie Pumping Service has a strong clientele. Kim purchases a 1973 truck with a 2,000 gallon tank capacity.

1988

Benzie Pumping Service expands territories. Kim purchases Crystal Pumping Service from Dan Pelky, forming Benzie & Crystal Pumping Service.

1993

Benzie & Crystal Pumping Service purchases our first brand new pump truck. This Ford L9000 Cummings truck has a 3,300 gallon tank capacity.

1998

Benzie & Crystal Pumping Service purchases our second brand new pump truck – a Ford Louisville with a Caterpillar motor and a 3,300 gallon tank capacity.

2005

As our client base grows, our name grows too. Benzie & Crystal Pumping Service acquires the Interlochen area, forming Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service Inc.

2006

Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service Inc. purchases a new 2006 freightliner truck with a 3,500 gallon tank capacity.

2007

Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service Inc. purchases another new freightliner truck, a 2007 with a 3,500 gallon tank capacity.

2010

This year, Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service Inc. has been in business for 35 years. We have also purchased our 4th truck, a 2010 Ford freightliner with a 4,000 gallon tank capacity. As the business has grown, so has the demand to haul more loads at once. We continue to run the 2006 and 2007 pump trucks in addition to the new 2010.

2016

Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service Inc. purchases a 2016 freightliner truck with a 4,500 gallon tank capacity. We continue to run our 2010 and 2007 pump trucks in addition to the new 2016.

2020

Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service Inc. celebrates 45 years in business!
